I didn't start a consultancy — I started working at one. In 2006 I joined The Chopras, one of India's oldest overseas education firms, and spent eight formative years there counseling students and learning the Ireland and UK admissions landscape through a couple of full policy cycles.
In 2014 I left The Chopras to co-found The Mentors Circle — a smaller, partner-led practice built on one idea: fewer students, better counsel. Over the next decade TMC earned something I'm genuinely proud of — endorsement by Enterprise Ireland (the Irish government's enterprise and trade body) and the "Best Newcomer Agent of the Year 2018" award. We became one of a handful of Indian agents that overseas universities invited directly for engagement. In 2020 I founded JTS Education as my own independent practice, free of commission structures — same principles, sharper execution.
In 2022 I completed my MBA at Brunel University London. Sitting where our students now sit — navigating admissions, visas, and the quiet panic of a first year abroad — sharpened the practice on the counseling side. Over the twenty years, I have personally counseled more than 10,000 students, with 5,000+ making it to universities in the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
My specialization remains Ireland and UK admissions — deep markets I have watched shift through a dozen visa policy cycles. The advice I give today is the advice I would give my own family: transparent, realistic, and built around your long-term career rather than this year's brochure.
